Disney: Day 1- Flight and Downtown Disney

Okay, so I am going to start posting our Disney pictures! I have decided to just do a different post for each day we were at Disney. We have been planning this trip for over a year. This is John Turner's special trip before he starts K-4 next year. We decided not to take Judson this time. Don't worry! He was spoiled by his Gran for a week!

We drove to Atlanta on Sunday afternoon and spent the night at a hotel near the airport. And when I say near, I mean the planes were taking off and landing right outside of our hotel balcony! JT loved it! We got up very early on Monday morning and our plane took off around 8:00 headed to Orlando! John Turner loved everything about flying! He wasn't nervous at all! Carlton and I were way more nervous than he was! His favorite thing about the flight was that the stewardess brought us a drink and some cookies during the flight!

We arrived in Orlando around 9:30 or so. We headed with our bags to board a bus called Disney's Magical Express. At this point, John Turner could barely contain his excitement!

And after a short bus drive, we arrived at our Disney resort! We stayed in All-Star Movie Resort. We ended up being put in the Toy Story building which made John Turner's day!

After getting all checked in and taking a little power nap, we were off to Downtown Disney! We had reservations to eat dinner at T-Rex Cafe.

T-Rex Cafe did not disappoint! Every few minutes all of the lights flicker and you hear these dinosaur sounds and all of the dinosaur come alive! It was awesome! And the food was very good!

John Turner and Daddy also pretended they were dinosaurs who came to life!

After eating, we took him to Build-a-Dino Workshop and let him create his own animal to take home. Of all things, he chose a saber-tooth tiger! We adopted him and his name is Thomas. We also adopted a T-Rex for Judson. His name is Rexie.

We then just walked all around Downtown Disney and visited all of the shops. John Turner's favorite store was the Lego store. We spent most of our night here!

We were all three exhausted from the early morning flight so we took a ride on the carousel and headed to bed! Little did I know just how much rest I needed to take on a week at Disney World!
