Pumpkin Carving 2012

After we got home from picking the perfect pumpkin from the pumpkin patch, it was time for a little pumpkin carving. Carlton and John Turner have carved a pumpkin together every year since John Turner turned one. This year they had an extra little helper! John Turner requested that Daddy do a spooky jack o' lantern this year. Daddy did a great job drawing a spooky face by himself!

And here he is: Spooky the jack o'lantern!

Pumpkin Patch 2012

We took our two little pumpkins to visit the pumpkin patch last weekend. It seems as if every time we try to go to the pumpkin patch it is like 90 degrees outside!! Anyway, we really did have a good afternoon there. Judson went last year and slept the entire time we were there. Not this year!! He was on the move all day long! Here are some pictures from our visit!

We always make John Turner stand here and be measured each year. This is Judson's first year to be measured! Isn't he cute standing there?

Daddy even braved the corn maze with these two boys! Momma does not like the corn maze!!

The big jumping pillow is always a big hit!

This child will still not let anyone paint his face; only his hand!

This silly one decided he would make rock angels!

We had to visit the pig races before leaving the patch!

Last, we had to jump on the hayride down to the patch to get our pumpkins!

Here are our hot and tired boys with their pumpkins for this year!

The Queen City Fair 2012

John Turner loves a fair! He has been waiting on The Queen City Fair to come back since the day it left last fall. As soon as he saw the signs go up around town, he started begging us to take him. Of course, we agreed! He loved it even more this year! He was bigger and braver! We got a lot more out of our $100 this year!

We started off by visiting the petting zoo and riding the ponies.

He then went straight to the ride he had been waiting on all year-- the roller coaster train ride!

We then stopped at every other one that he was tall enough to ride. Baby brother enjoyed all of the sights, smells and sounds of a fairground!

And finally, a ride that baby brother could get on with Daddy!

John Turner also got to experience his first funnel cake this year at the fair. He ate it up!!
And now we wait for it to come around next fall!
