Note From John Turner Part II

As you read in my last post, today is my Daddy's birthday! I have been waiting for him to get home from work all day so that he could open his present from me. He finally got home at about seven. That is usually when I have to get my bath and go to bed, but Momma let me stay up later tonight since it is Daddy's birthday. Daddy was really excited about his present! I got him a Playstation 3!! Momma thinks Daddy is too old to be getting a gift like that, but I don't think so! The sad part is that Daddy didn't even get to blow out his candles or cut his cake! He got called back to the hospital for a surgery right after he opened his gift! I guess we will have to eat birthday cake tomorrow!

A Special Note From John Turner

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DADDY! I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!

Today is a special day! It is my Daddy's birthday! I just wanted to post a note to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to him! I am a very lucky kid to have a Daddy like him. He does so much for me! He plays with me, bathes me, feeds me, buys me tons of toys and clothes, takes me on walks, and reads me stories. There are so many other things he does that I can't name them all. My poor Daddy has to work today on his birthday. Mommy and I have been getting things ready for his special day. We bought him a really cool gift and baked him his favorite cake-strawberry cake with homemade cream cheese icing! I can't wait until he gets home so that he can open his gift and cut his cake. I am dying to taste that homemade icing! I am sure he will read this today at work because he always checks the blog to see if there are any new pictures of me on here.

A Few Of My Favorite Things!

John Turner is now 8 months old! He is growing up on us way too fast! This is just a little update on some of his favorite things at the moment.

He LOVES his toys these days! The shapes from his shape sorter are some of his favorite things on which to chew! He will try out each shape for a second and then toss it and grab another one. He now goes into his toy box to find what he wants. It is fun to watch him interact with his toys!

John Turner loves to watch Baby Einstein movies. His favorites are Baby Beethoven, Baby Mozart, and Baby Van Gogh. (No, I don't let him sit and watch movies all day! He watches one in the morning and one in the afternoon!) As you see in the picture below, he has a certain way he likes to watch his movies. He is sitting up in this pillow when I start the movie, but after a few minutes, he wiggles himself into this position and enjoys the rest of the movie this way!

He absolutely loves this Leap Frog table! He will stand and bang on this thing forever!

He loves snacks! His favorite snack right now is a teething biscuit! He probably likes it so much right now because it feels good to his 5th tooth that is coming in as we speak! As you can see in the picture below, we have to strip him down to let him enjoy this messy and delicious cookie!

Our favorite neighbor, Ms. Johnny Nell, got a new puppy this weekend! It is a cute 6 week old yellow lab. John Turner went over to her house last night to meet this new little puppy! He loved it! He just smiled so big when that puppy licked his face. I have a feeling they will be very good friends!

Baby Dedication Part 2

Baby Dedication

Yesterday was a very special day for our family. Not only was it my first Mother's Day as an actual mother, it was also the day that we dedicated John Turner to God. We also dedicated ourselves as parents to bring him up in a way that is pleasing to God. We are very lucky to have our families(including our HBC family) who will help us with this task as John Turner grows. There were around 14 babies dedicated at HBC yesterday. We are so excited that John Turner is going to have so many church friends to grow up with.

Good Morning, Mommy!

I have never been a morning person! Lucky for me John Turner isn't one either! He sleeps until at least 8:00 most mornings! When he does wake up he gives me the sweetest little sleepy smiles! It makes waking up enjoyable no matter what time it is

Swim Day!

John Turner had a swim day with his Cousin Car-Car today. He had so much fun! We can't wait to take him to the beach in June!
