Happy Thanksgiving 2010!

We have many things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday. This little turkey below is one of our biggest blessings for which we are extremely thankful!

John Turner and I are also very thankful for this sweet Daddy! He provides for us and takes care of us each and every day. He works hard so that I don't have to work. Being able to be home with John Turner these past two years is something for which I am truly thankful!

I love this little boy and I am so thankful that God chose me to be his mommy! He is my heart!!

I love our precious family of three! I am so thankful for all that we have and feel very blessed that I am sharing my life with them! We are also very thankful for all of our family and friends. We are very blessed to have such a big and loving family and an amazing group of friends around us!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Boys' Night At The Deer Camp

This past weekend was youth hunting weekend. Several of Carlton's friends decided to take their boys up to the deer camp to spend the weekend and hunt. Well, of course Carlton and John Turner were not going to miss this experience. John Turner didn't get to spend the night, but he got to have a lot of fun! He got to sit in a shooting house, ride around on the hunting land and look for deer, roast wieners around the bonfire and play with these sweet BIG boys!

Mommy wasn't allowed because it was boys only! I did send my camera so Carlton could at least get a few pics for me!

Carlton said that John Turner didn't stop running the entire night! As you can see, he passed out as soon as they headed home!

John Turner is so lucky to have a daddy who takes him to experience such fun things! I am afraid that in a few years he will want to spend every weekend at the deer camp with his daddy!

Two Tickets To Paradise!

Atlantis Resort--Paradise Island, Bahamas

Carlton and I were fortunate enough to get to take a much needed vacation alone last month. I have wanted to visit the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas for a very long time! I first learned about it when I used to watch that show on MTV about Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey. He took Jessica there for a surprise trip on one of their shows. Since then I have always said I was going to go there one day! Well, my sweet and generous husband decided that this was the year he would take me! It lived up to every expectation I had of it!

Atlantis- October 2010

We flew into Nassau, Bahamas. We then had to take a cab ride over to Paradise Island, Bahamas, which is where Atlantis is located. Atlantis has everything you need! There is absolutely no reason to have to leave the resort! I loved that about it! Here are a few of its main features:

  • 21 restaurants
  • 141 acre water park
  • mile long tubing adventure ride
  • 9 water slides
  • 11 pools
  • tons of upscale shopping (Gucci, Cartier, Versace, etc...)
  • movie theater
  • fitness center
  • spa( I got to have an 90 minute massage here! It was heaven!)
  • casino
  • Dolphin Cay
  • and so many more things that I can't even think of!

The beaches in the Bahamas were breathtakingly beautiful! It was too chilly for me to swim in the ocean, but I enjoyed the view!

Those of you who know me well know that I love a lounge chair by a pool with some good music playing in the background! Well, all 11 pools were gorgeous and relaxing. My favorite was called the Blu Pool. I stayed there from about 10:00-12:00 every morning. They played 80's and 90's music by this pool. I loved going there each morning and reading my magazine and listening to this music! So much fun!

When I found out for sure that we were going on this trip, the first thing I knew I wanted to do while I was there was swim with the dolphins! I booked it the first day we were there! It was such a unique and amazing experience for me!

One of my favorite things to do on vacation is to eat!! Since there were 21 restaurants at the resort I had no problem with that! Our favorites were The Bahamian Club, Carmine's and Seafire Steakhouse. I also had Ben and Jerry's ice cream almost every day!!

We will have been married 10 years next July. We called this our 10 year anniversary trip. After 10 years we still have the most fun together on trips! We are so fortunate to have each other!Atlantis is a place we will be visiting again in the future!

I am usually very grumpy on the way home from a vacation! I hate when they have to end! This time I wasn't so grumpy! I had this to come home to...
