February Fun

February has turned out to be a fun and busy month for us! It happens to be my favorite month of the year because there is no hunting season for my husband to take part in this month! I always call February "Amy Season"!!

This picture is of our sweet little Valentine! He is on his way to his Valentine's Day party at school. He received a bunch of sweet Valentines from his friends and family. He also got also got special Valentines from Mommy and Daddy. He got some new books(one a, new Cd's(one with the B-I-B-L-E which is his favorite song to sing right now) and yummy candy! Daddy was on call at the hospital on Valentine's Day so we cooked him a nice dinner at home and celebrated as a family. My parents had kept John Turner the whole weekend before so we were able to celebrate Valentine's Day alone also. It was nice to have a weekend alone! We went to dinner with friends on Friday night, and then to dinner and a movie alone on Saturday night.

John Turner's class has been studying the letter "P" at school this week. On Friday, they had a party to celebrate the letter "P". They wore their favorite "P"ajamas, ate "P"otato chips for snack and had "P"ancakes and "P"urple juice for lunch. This is our cute little monkey on the way to his "P" party! Yes, we still have "Glo-Glo"! He has been with us since birth and I don't think he is going anywhere anytime soon!

Since we have had beautiful weather over the past week, we decided to drive over to Alabama one afternoon and let John Turner ride the tractor and play in the woods. He LOVES going and doing anything outdoors with his daddy! Mommy usually doesn't go but I decided to make this trip with them.

We had a quite a surprise when we got home from church last night! It was snowing everywhere!!! John Turner and his daddy couldn't wait to get out in it! So, they bundled up and headed out to play in it last night at about 8:00!

They even had a snowball fight!!

This winter has been crazy!! I am glad that John Turner got to see snow again this year. It is crazy how when I was little we rarely ever got snow. John Turner has seen snow every year since he was born!! CRAZY!! I am ready for warm sun, sand and the beach!!! Come on summer!!

Rabbit Hunting

Carlton decided that he would take John Turner on his first rabbit hunt last Saturday morning. This momma was a little concerned, but Carlton reassured me that he would take care of John Turner and that they would have so much fun doing this together. I agreed and sent them off at 7:00 Saturday morning! As you can tell from the picture above and the one below, Daddy was right! John Turner had a blast!! He didn't want to come home! BOO HOO!! They ended up staying until late in the afternoon.

I don't think that Carlton and John Turner actually did too much rabbit hunting. It looks as if they...

Threw rocks,

Played in mud puddles,

and walked around exploring the woods!

Both of them were so excited and happy to tell me about their experiences when they got home. I was happy for them, but also a little sad for myself. All I could think of was that in a few years John Turner will be leaving me every Saturday to go do fun stuff like this with Daddy:-( I am very thankful that John Turner has such a special Daddy who makes such fun memories with him!

Cold and Rainy Days

Thanks goodness Santa brought John Turner a raincoat and rain boots for Christmas this year! We sure have needed them lately. John Turner doesn't mind though. He LOVES when he get to wear his rain boots to school! Last week after school he begged me to let him jump in the puddles. So, of course, Mommy let him! He had fun jumping in them and throwing rocks in them. It is raining AGAIN today and tomorrow!! We won't be out playing in it this time though! It is below freezing here! This winter weather has been crazy this year!
