Crawfish Boil

Carlton and I hosted a crawfish boil for some of our friends and their families. John Turner was so excited when we told him that all of his friends were coming over to his house. He kept saying, "I am so excited that my friends are coming to my house!" He barely even napped the day of the event!

John Turner and his friends weren't so sure about these crawfish when they saw them. Brave litle Wyatt was the only one who would touch one!

The children ran and played and had the best time together! The adults actually go to enjoy a bit of conversation and some yummy food!

You can see the handsome crawfish cooker below! He did an amazing job on them! Some of the best ones I have ever eaten!

We love spending time with this group of people! It is always such a fun time! And the group just keeps growing and growing. We will be adding two more by the end of this year!

Best moment of the week: getting the first item with Judson's name on it! It makes it so much more real! Our sweet friends, Aaron and Megan, had a name plaque painted to match his room. I love it!

John Turner decided that each week when I take my picture he should have one made also. He is just the cutest thing ever!!!

Mother's Day

For Mother's Day this year, my precious husband took me on a little "babymoon" to relax before baby number two arrives. Our trip was amazing! I was pampered like a princess the whole time! As part of my Mother's Day gift, I was treated to breakfast in bed and a pregnancy massage! It was such a fabulous trip!

We came home on the Sunday of Mother's Day. My sweet boy was waiting on me with a precious handmade card and a potted flower he had made me at school. Here is a picture of me with my two precious gifts! I am so blessed to be their mother!

Fishing with Daddy

Our sweet friends, The Hatchers, invited us over to fish in their pond one Sunday after church. We had a great time! I love being able to capture these precious father/son moments! Of course, I only had my camera phone!

Yee Haw!

To celebrate studying the letter "W", John Turner's school had a "W"estern day. He absolutely loved being able to wear his cowboy clothes to school. He didn't take those chaps off all day long! He now asks me at least once a week while we are getting dressed if he can wear his cowboy clothes to school again!

First Trip to the Dentist

We took John Turner to visit the dentist for the first time this morning. We were not sure how he was going to react to this experience. We have talked about it and practiced what to do for months! When we arrived he was very excited to see all of the toys that were in the waiting room!

After playing for a while, they called us back to meet with the hygienist. She was super sweet with him. She talked to him about what was going to happen to him. She also let him pick out the toothbrush that she would use to polish his teeth. He chose a Dora and Diego toothbrush. He was very proud of it. When she told him he would get a prize if he was good, he asked if he could get money or candy! HAHA!

We then waited while she got everything ready. This is the face he gave when they called him name and said that they were ready for him!

For his first visit he did very well. Only a few tears were shed! The hygienist let him sit in Carlton's lap and lay his head back in hers while she cleaned them. Dr. Ellis then came over and examined and counted his teeth. He was so proud that he had 20 teeth! She was so amazing with him. He had no cavities! He got to put his name in the monthly drawing for kids' with no cavities! Hopefully he will win that free pizza! HAHA!! He then picked out his prizes. He chose a bracelet and a bouncy ball.

All in all, this experience wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it might be! He did end up getting some money too. Daddy slipped him a dollar bill on the way out for being such a big boy!
