Sandbox

As you can see, John Turner is very excited about his new sandbox! He says "hand" (which means he wants to hold my hand and take me somewhere) then he drags me by my hand out to his "box" (as his calls it) all of the time!

He likes to fill the bucket up with sand and carry it around

He also enjoys shoveling and raking the sand.

He loves to fill his dump truck up with sand and then dump it out.

He loves to feel the sand between his fingers and toes!

He also enjoys climbing in and out of his sandbox over and over again!

I have a feeling that we will spend summer days out playing in this sandbox for many years to come !

Easter Sunday

The Easter Bunny definitely made a stop by our house Saturday night! This is what John Turner found sitting on his table when he woke up Sunday morning!

  • bubble wand, finger paints, racing cars

  • books, bath bubbles, CANDY

  • Frisbee, movies, sidewalk chalk, flip flops, MORE CANDY!

Reese's Chocolate and Peanut Butter Bunny=Easter Sunday Breakfast

After all of that fun, we hurried and got dressed up for Easter morning church services.

The flower covered cross in front of our church was absolutely beautiful!

*We had the hardest time getting good pictures of this little munchkin in his Easter outfit! He would not be still! We had to hold him to get a picture of him! I remember just last year at Easter I posed him and took so many pictures of him in his Easter outfit! NOT THIS YEAR:)

Egg Hunting

John Turner ended up getting to go to four egg hunts this year! I had posted pictures from the church egg hunt which was his first one. The second one was on Saturday afternoon at his friend Devon's birthday party. Since Devon's birthday is so close to Easter, he got to have an egg hunt at his birthday party! I somehow managed to foget to take any pictures at this one!

After we left the birthday party, we went out to my grandparents' house for an egg hunt with our cousins. We started this tradition last year and it is so much fun. We have gained two new members since the last one! This is a picture of Carly, Brooks, Landon, John Turner, and Maddox. They have so much fun when they are all together!

At this egg hunt John Turner got smart! He decided if Daddy would carry his basket and follow behind him he could get to eggs more quickly!

The fourth and final egg hunt was Sunday afternoon after church. This was at Carlton's grandparents' house. This is a tradition for their family every year also. He was an expert egg hunter by the time he did this one!

He had also figured out by this egg hunt that some eggs contained candy. So he would shake each one he picked up to see if there was any good stuff inside!

Meeting the Easter "Nunny" (AKA The Easter Bunny)

Well, John Turner finally got to meet the Easter "Nunny" that he has been hearing about and reading about lately. He walked up to him and said "nunny, hop, hop, hop". Then he was done with him! We sat him up in his lap for a picture and you can see how that turned out!

Dying Easter Eggs!

When I was shopping a week or so ago, I saw the egg dying kits on the Easter aisle in the store. I was amazed at how many different kinds they make these days! Anyway, I wanted the most simple kit I could find for little man this year. I found one that had 5 basic colors and some stickers to make silly faces on your eggs. John Turner loves to find eyes, ears, mouths, etc... so I knew this would be a perfect kit for him!

John Turner "carefully" dipping the eggs in the colors

Pointing out the "blue" one--his most favorite color these days!

I just love his little expression in this one!
