Growing and Growing!

John Turner's first walk around the neighborhood.

I love my mommy!

New Toys!!

Yesterday we had to take John Turner back to the doctor for a weight check. They wanted to make sure he was back to his birth weight because he had lost a few ounces before he left the hospital. He now weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. He is growing so fast!! They also checked his collar bone and said it was already starting to heal. We were glad to hear that!
The weather was so nice outside after we got back from the doctor that we decided to take him on his first walk around the neighborhood. He really seemed to enjoy it!
Today is my first day alone with John Turner. My mom has gone back home and Carlton had to go back to work. The day has been great so far! It is hard to do everything all alone! I am learning!

A Day Of Football With Daddy

Today we enjoyed watching our first Bama game with John Turner. I don't think we paid nearly as much attention to the game as we did before he was born. He was so cute in his Bama onesie that we just kept staring at him! Although he only stayed awake for a few plays we think he will be a big Bama fan! ROLL TIDE!

John Turner became very tired after watching only a few plays of the game! Football is hard work!

John Turner's First Doctor's Visit!

Today John Turner had his first visit with the pediatrician. We found out that he has a break in his collar bone from coming through the birth canal. The doctor said it is very normal and should heal on its own and be fine. Everything else looked great. He was very good during his first doctor's visit.

Surprise! John Turner Is Here!

Carlton and I got quite a surprise on Friday. We were very busy that day getting some things ready for John Turner's arrival that was scheduled for Wednesday the 17th. We had done some shopping and had been to dinner. Around 10:00 that night as we were watching the South Florida/Kansas game my water decided to break! Carlton calmly drove us to the hospital. John Turner arrived the next day, September 13th, around 2:52 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz. and was 20 in. long. We are all doing well! It was the best surprise we have ever had!

The Time is Finally Here!

We just got back from our doctor's appointment. We have exciting news!! I am going to be induced next Wednesday, September 17th! (Unless he decides to come before then)
We will check into the hospital at 5:00 that morning. Hopefully by that afternoon we will be holding our precious baby! We are so happy!
Carlton is going to try to post pics and info to my blog once he is born. Please be patient with him! At least he is going to try!
I can't imagine how this next week is going to feel just waiting for the day to come. I know I am going to come up with a million things that I need to get done before he gets here. I am going to try my best to relax and rest up before his arrival. I know that is what I need to do.
Please keep us in your prayers this week!

No Changes!

Well, we just got back from our weekly doctor's appointment. There have been no changes since last week. We are still about 3 cm dilated. John Turner is due 2 weeks from Friday! We can't believe that! We will go back to the doctor next Wednesday. I will post again after that.
