Meridian Christmas Parade

We decided that John Turner would probably enjoy the Christmas parade downtown this year. We invited his best friend,Will, to go with us which made it even more fun for all of us! These two silly boys get together and everything is FUN!!!

Our first stop at the parade was for some treats! The boys insisted on cotton candy and a funnel cake! Nothing like a sugar high to help one enjoy a Christmas parade.

The boys were so excited once they started to see some of the parade entrants coming down the street. Carlton parked his truck downtown earlier in the day. So we had excellent seats for the parade! Our friends, the Hatchers and the Kings, also met us for the parade.

Judson tagged along with all of the big kids and he just had the best time! The loud sirens from the fire engines nor the marching bands even phased this one!

I am telling you that the cotton candy was enough to make this one of the best nights ever for these boys!

This was toward the end of the parade and the sugar high was beginning to wear off and some boys were beginning to get tired!

Judson was still awake and going at the end of the parade!

Here are a few of the entrants that we enjoyed most.

Of course, they don't throw candy throughout the whole parade like they did when I was little. Only the Santa at the end of the parade threw candy.

We had a wonderful night and plan on this being one of our Christmas traditions each year!
