Breakfast with Santa

The Junior Auxiliary hosts a "Breakfast with Santa" event each December. The event raises money to help needy children around our community. Each child that attended the breakfast also brought a toy for a needy child in the community. John Turner is at the perfect age to enjoy this type of event. And to make it even better; John Turner's best friend, Will, and his sweet Momma, Jenny, went with us. Judson got to stay home and get some snuggle time with his GiGi.

John Turner was not at all scared of Santa this year. He told him exactly what he wanted! "I want a John Deere Gator under the tree, and I want scissors and tape in my stocking." He even told Santa all about our elf, Elvin. It was fun to see him actually get excited and enjoy visiting with Santa!

There were several stations set up for the kids to visit. The girls from the Dustys social club manned each booth. Seeing as I taught most all of these girls at one point during my teaching career, this just made my day! It was great to see these sweet girls all grown up and helping with such an awesome event! Made me so proud!

We visited the "reindeer food" station first. John Turner had the best time making this! He can't wait to sprinkle it in our yard Christmas Eve night! This sweet girl is Caroline. She is one of my most favorite students ever!! I taught her in 4th grade and in 8th grade. She is now a senior!! WOW! I am old!

Next, we traveled over to the decorate your own goody bag station. John Turner loved this! Anytime there is glue involved he is happy!

Next up came his favorite station--The Candy Bar!! He loves chocolate! And this table was filled yummy treats! That sweet thing went through and only grabbed one of each type of candy and placed it into his bag!

We went over and decorated our own pair of reindeer antlers next. He looked super cute wearing these things!

We had to sit down and eat at least one piece of our candy before moving on!

John Turner chose to have a reindeer painted on his hand. He still will not allow anyone to paint on his face! HAHA!!

A silly little pose in front of the tree with the letter to Santa he wrote.

After all of this excitement, we were all hungry and ready for breakfast. The served up pancakes, John Turner's favorite food! He also got orange juice which this boy LOVES!

The inflatables were quite a hit with these two boys!

We just had the best morning together with our sweet friends! We have decided that this will be an annual event for us!
