We decided to have John Turner's third birthday party at the historical carousel, the Dentzel Carousel, here in Meridian. There were several reasons why we chose this location. First, every child that grows up in Meridian has to have at least one birthday party at the carousel! Second, John Turner and all of his friends are at an age where they LOVE to ride the carousel. Third, and most important, Momma knew she was going to have a newborn and she needed something that required little time and effort on her part for this birthday party!!!
We had Carol Fanning make his birthday cake again this year. She never disappoints! It was an amazing piece of art! I didn't want to cut the cake!! John Turner loved his cake very much!
We snapped a family pic before the party. I knew once the craziness of a three year old birthday party began there would be no time for a family picture!
So many of John Turner's friends came to the carousel for his party. He was so excited to see that his friends all came to celebrate his birthday! He really does have some of the greatest friends already at age 3!
He enjoyed being sang to and blowing out his candles this year. He could not wait to dig in to that cake though!
We had pizza, Cheetos and cake after we finished the first round of carousel rides.
After eating, the children were able to ride the carousel a while longer. After the final rides, each child received a bag of cotton candy and a balloon to take home with them.
Here are a few pictures I captured of John Turner's face throughout the party. He just had the best time this year!
Judson slept through almost the entire party! He woke up at the end of the party to eat and be snuggled a little!
This was for sure a birthday party John Turner will never forget! He said it was the "best birthday party ever!"
