Grandparent's Day

A couple of weeks ago, John Turner's school celebrated Grandparent's' Day. All Grandparents were invited to a tea at the school. Can you tell how excited John Turner was that his GiGi and Gran-Gran came to his classroom to visit?

It was fun to see how much all of these children love their grandparents and just how much their grandparents love them too!

John Turner had been telling me all week long that had been working on a special project for his grandparents. Here he is giving them to his GiGi and Gran-Gran. He was so proud of this special book that he made for them!

He got to share some cookies and juice with them. Then his teacher went through their morning routine with them so that we could all see what they do each morning. I knew he had learned a lot at school already this year, but what they all knew really amazed me! They said their colors, shapes, days of the week etc...

John Turner got a special treat after this too. His Gran-Gran checked him out of school early and he got to spend the rest of the day with her! Spending the day with her is his absolute most favorite thing in the whole world!

We love you, GiGi and Gran-Gran! Thanks for making this day special for John Turner!
