The Fair!

The fair came to our town last week. We decided that John Turner might be old enough to enjoy some of the rides and games this year. So, we set out for a night at the fairgrounds. Now, this trip to the fair was totally for John Turner! I used to be able to ride all of those carnival rides. Now if I even watch one of them for a long period of time I feel nauseous! Time does change you!! HA HA!!

Here is Daddy paying for our way into the fair! He had no idea just how much money he was going to spend for a night(a couple of hours) at the fair!

The first thing we visited was the petting zoo. Carlton and John Turner enjoyed this part a lot! The llama was a big hit since his favorite series of books these days are the "Llama, Llama" ones.

John Turner then ran over to this bouncy house! Since Dora and Boots were on it, he just had to jump inside. Carlton paid for his way inside and he jumped for a total of about a minute and then he was ready to move on!

Then we headed out to the actual fair! The first thing John Turner wanted to ride was this mini roller coaster. He wanted to ride it because it looked like a train! Lucky for me I had sweet baby Judson in his stroller and I just couldn't leave him so Daddy had to ride all of the rides:-)

Next, he wanted to ride these motorcycles. Well, he did for about a minute. Then he began screaming and crying to get off! Luckily, the man stopped it and let him get off. He said it went way too fast and "scared him to death"!!

Next up was the carousel! Always a hit with John Turner!

Then he found these helicopters. He LOVED this ride! It was the favorite of the night!

We then entered the long, long row of games(AKA- a bunch of people trying to take a lot of your money just to give your kid some kind of junk!)

He chose to play the duck pull and the fishing for sharks game.

And lucky for us, we got to come home with these two lovely stuffed animals!!

So, to sum up our trip to the fair...

a petting zoo, a bouncy house, 4 rides, 2 games, 2 stuffed animals and ALMOST $100.00 later we were headed home!!!
