One Busy Week!

Fall is always one of the busiest times of the year. It is also my favorite time of the year. I love the cooler-not yet cold- weather, the beautiful colors outside, and all of the fun filled-and usually friends and family filled-occasions. This fall is turning into the most special one of all because of John Turner. Just this week he has already experienced some exciting fall firsts! It has been quite a busy week for the Watt family! Here is a summary of our busy week!

Last Wednesday night our church had its annual Fall Festival. We had a great dinner with our church friends. Then we enjoyed a magic show. After that we went to the gym for some fun fall games and activities. John Turner actually stayed awake and stared wide eyed at all of the little ones running around like crazy in their Halloween costumes. We can't wait to take him next year!

Friday was an exciting day around our house-John Turner's first Halloween! He was the cutest little crocodile you have ever seen. Of course our families came over to spend his first Halloween with him. Our neighborhood is always very busy with trick-or-treaters on Halloween. My sister decided to bring my niece,Carly,to my house to trick-or-treat. After dinner we loaded up on Carlton's buggy(I guess it is good for something other than hunting) and took Carly around the neighborhood. She had a blast! John Turner also went for the ride but fell asleep after stopping at the first house. Next year will be different I'm sure!I posted a slideshow with a bunch of cute Halloween pics. Check it out!

On Saturday night our neighborhood had its annual fall block party. We have them at different times during the year. It was John Turner's first ever block party. It was so much fun to introduce him to all of our neighbors. Many of them have never met him and the ones who had met him hadn't seen him since he first came home from the hospital. There was tons of great food. We also had great entertainment. We feel so fortunate to live in a neighborhood like ours! Linmoor Estates is a very special place in which to live!

On Sunday we took John Turner to church for the first time. Actually.... we just took him to Sunday School and we took him in our class with us. We just don't want him in the church nursery until he has his shots. That is only a few weeks away(boo hoo). Until then we will just keep him in the Sunday School class with us. He was a perfect angel and didn't make a peep the whole time!

So as you can tell we have had quite a busy and exciting week! I can't believe how fast time has flown since John Turner was born. He was 7 weeks old yesterday. I am trying to savor every little smile, cry, coo, etc... because I know before long he will no longer be a baby anymore! BOO HOO!!
Here are some cute pics from this weekend! Enjoy!

Family, Food, and Fall Fun!

Every year around this time Carlton's family plans a fall party. The party is held in the pasture behind his grandparents' house. It is a ton of fun! We build a bonfire, roast hot dogs and marshmallows, and go on a hayride. Actually there are two hayrides. One for the kiddos and then a scary one for the adults. We got to take John Turner for his first fall family party last night. This year he wasn't able to participate in the activities. He was just there to look cute and get lots of hugs and kisses! Next year we know we won't be able to keep up with him at the party! It was a great night! It was so nice to spend time with family.

Before we left for the party. "I love my mummy"

The trip to the party wore him out!

Monkeying Around!

I must say that I have always had an obsession with pajamas. I used to buy tons of them for myself. Now I am obsessed with baby pajamas! They are so darn cute!! It seems every baby store I go in I come out with a new cute pair of pajamas! I love how John Turner looks in his little footed pajamas! These are his monkey jammies! Isn't he adorable?

Can You See Me?

For those of you who have hunters in your family you know that hunting season has begun! Carlton is a hunting fanatic! He gets ready for the season ALL year long! Since Daddy has been wearing his camo lately to go bow hunting, we decided to take some pics of John Turner in his camo. His daddy is already trying to turn him into a hunter. Carlton even took him to the bow shop already!

Cousins Make The Best Friends!

John Turner's cousin, Carly, came to spend the day with us this week! She loves him very much! She wants to kiss him all of the time! She also gets upset and cries when she hears him cry. It is so sweet! We have wanted to get a picture of them in these outfits since he was born. My sister ordered these cute outfits for them to wear at the hospital. The only way we could get a good picture was to take it while Carly was sleeping! It turned out to be such a precious picture!
