Wake Up!

The other morning I woke up to the sounds of little boy giggles. It was such a sweet sound to wake up to. After checking the monitor, I immediately got my camera to document this sweet moment. I just love watching these two boys grow up together. They already love each other so very much! It is an amazing thing to see!
John Turner told me that heard brother up talking and he thought he should go in and check on him and make sure he was okay! SWEET!!

Fresh Veggies

Judson is a completely opposite type of eater than his brother was at this age! John Turner has ALWAYS been picky, picky! Judson will eat anything you put in front of him! He has started having tastes of real food and baby food is out of the picture now! He wants the real stuff! John Turner would never, and still won't, eat anything green! My mom brought fresh veggies from their garden to me last week. I cooked the Green beans and Judson couldn't get enough of them! He also ate some fresh squash. What did my picky one eat while we had all of this yummy fresh food? Dinosaur chicken nuggets and macaroni and cheese!!!!

Driving around the Grocery Store

John Turner has been begging for weeks to let Judson ride with him in the car buggy at Winn-Dixie. John Turner thinks it is the coolest way to shop! Well, the last few times we have gone to the grocery store all of the car buggies have been taken. Last Saturday we got lucky and found one that was open! Judson just had a ball riding in that car buggy!

Can you tell that John Turner was over the grocery shopping at this point? Judson was still excited to be driving!

Farmers' Market

Our town has started having a really fun event downtown at the train station the first Saturday of every month. There is a big farmers' market set up, along with many other vendors selling different homemade items. There is also live music at the event. We decided to go try it out last Saturday morning. We just had the best time! The boys enjoyed it so much! We brought home fresh corn, peanuts and peaches. John Turner's favorite part of the day was the fresh lemonade he had! We will spend many Saturday morning downtown at this event!

Library Reading Program

Since school is out for summer, the boys and I have started making our weekly trips to the library. John Turner and I did this last summer and we both really enjoyed it. We always go have donuts at the donut shop on library mornings which makes the morning that much better!

This year John Turner was old enough to sign up for the summer reading program. Since he is only 3, he is not old enough for the weekly meetings and activities. But, he is old enough to try to read enough books this summer to achieve a goal. They have 3 levels of goals, the highest being 50 books. We are going to work hard to reach the top goal of 50 books! We are already off to a great start! I do love that this boys likes books as much as his momma does!

Happy Birthday, Daddy

Carlton's birthday was May 27th. John Turner and I baked him his favorite, strawberry cake with homemade cream cheese icing. John Turner LOVES to bake!

I got a feeling this is why he loves to bake! HA HA!

John Turner insisted that we go to the party store and get candles that spelled our "DADDY" for his cake. Well, they did not have a "Y" so we settled for "DAD". While we were at the store he picked out the perfect plates, napkins and cups for his Daddy. When Carlton arrived home from work, John Turner quickly sent him to his bedroom. He set the table with the party plates, napkins and cups for all four of us. It was a fun little family party!

Judson is 10 Months!

Judson turned 10 months old on May 26th. I seriously can not believe that it is already time to plan his first birthday party! John Turner and I are planning him a fabulous first birthday party centered around Judson's favorite book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. WOW!! Where has this year gone?!?!?!

This was definitely the most difficult monthly photo shoot to date! This boy will not be still for more than a second. This made it kinda hard to get a good picture of him this month! I managed to get a few of him though!

Judson at 10 months:

  • weighs around 20 lbs (has now passed big brothers weight at this age!)
  • wears size 3 diapers, size 4 at night
  • wears size 12 month clothing
  • not sure on length right now-will find out at 1 year check-up
  • crawling all over the place!! He is too funny when he crawls. He keeps one of his knees off the floor and crawls with one foot on the floor.
  • has pulled up a couple of times and is trying to pull up on everything he can get his hands on
  • has 5 teeth total (3 on top and 2 on bottom) and has 2 more coming in at the moment. He always seems to get two at a time which makes it tough on the little guy! He has been hurting pretty bad the last few days! He hasn't been able to rest well at night either. We are hoping they are almost in!
  • Goes to bed around 7:30-8:00 and sleeps until around 6:30-7:00( his is not a late sleeper like his brother always has been!)
  • takes two naps a day- one around 9:00 and one around 2:00
  • shys when strangers talk to him and hides his head on my chest-precious!
  • ADORES his big brother more and more each day! He follows him all over the place! They are really starting to play games and interact this month! It is so awesome to watch them together!
  • Doing a little better at drinking formula from his sippy cup, but still prefers his bottle for formula! Will drink juice or water easily from his cup!
  • has started to eat a lot of table foods this month-- some he has tried and liked are: cheese, turkey, muffins, cinnamon rolls, green beans, mashed potatoes, grilled cheese sandwich, macaroni and cheese, all fruits, pancakes, biscuits, sweet potatoes
  • yogurt is his favorite thing to eat in the whole world!
  • says mama, baba, dada, bro bro and many other sounds
  • still loves bath time!
  • enjoys spending time outside
  • he is a ticklish little thing!
  • has the prettiest blue eyes and the sweetest smile I have ever seen!
  • His hair is starting to get long and I am sure we will need a trim before our first birthday party--It is still as blond as can be!
This baby boy is still the sweetest most laid back baby that I have truly ever been around! He just doesn't make a fuss about anything much! We just love this little tater tot to pieces!
