Summer Activities

I am trying to keep us filled with fun and busy activities for summer! I have decided to have somewhat of a schedule to keep it all fun and organized! It is the teacher in me! Here are a couple of fun things we have done so far this summer!

We made water music using colored water in glasses and a spoon! FUN!

We also mixed up some cloud dough and it entertained the boys for an hour!

We also made a trip to the library to sign up for the summer reading program.

Hanging with Friends

John Turner has some of the sweetest friends and we just love their parents as well! Last Sunday we got to have lunch with his friend, Mackenzie and her sweet parents.

One of John Turner's very best friends at school is Sam. Sam has a brother, Will, who is Judson's age. They invited us over for a play date this week. It was our first summer and play date and what fun it was! I love their momma so it was fun for me as well! We ended our play date with lunch and ice cream at McDonald's! We are planning on making this a weekly even for summer!

Butterflies!

We ordered caterpillar larvae once again this year! This is our third year to do this and John Turner loves it! This year we had 4 out of 5 caterpillar successfully turn into butterfly. Shaggy, Velma, Fred and Daphne were fun additions to our family! We have a big Scooby Doo addiction right now! We held a butterfly release party last weekend complete with butterfly cookies!

Date Night

I just sometimes like to add a picture of Carlton and me with no kids! We had a fun date night to celebrate the end of turkey season!

Last Day of Preschool at Highland

John Turner attended his last day of preschool at Highland last week. What a blessing this place has been to us. John Turner has grown so much socially and academically since starting the morning program here three years ago. We were once again blessed with precious teachers. John Turner will miss this place for sure!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day was a very special day! It always is now that I have these two boys! All three of my boys spoiled me, gave me gifts and took me to dinner! We had a fabulous day! I love these sweet little blessings with my whole heart!

Daddy's Home

Carlton went on his yearly turkey hunting trip a few weeks ago. He was gone for an entire week! We were all glad to have him back home with us!

PreK Play Date

John Turner was invited to a Pre-K play date at the school he will be attending in the fall. We got to watch the Pre-K from this year do a program. Then,  while the parents met with the principal, the children got to go to the classrooms they will be in next year and have fun with their future teachers. John Turner was such a big boy! When they asked them to leave us and follow the teachers, he never looked back at me! I was proud, but a little sad that my baby is this big! We are looking forward to August and the new journey we are beginning at Lamar!

Chuck E Cheese

John Turner has been begging us to take him to Chuck E Cheese since a friend at school went and told him all about it! He has also been seeing commercials on TV about it. A few weeks ago when Carlton had a day off, we decided to ride over to Jackson and see what Chuck E Cheese was all about! It did not disappoint! JT LOVED IT ALL!!! Judson also had a great time!

Ski ball was a his favorite game and where he spent a lot of his time.

He had over 100 tickets and picked out some stickers and candy for his prize!

He even got to meet the famous Chuck E Cheese while we were there!

Water Fun!

It's officially summer weather around here! That means it is time to break out the water toys! These boys love nothing more than to get wet and dirty!

One day we decided to have a car wash in our front yard! What fun that was!!
