It Finally Warmed Up...

So we headed outside this week!

One of John Turner's sweet friends, Emmie, gave him a t-ball set for his birthday. He loves putting the ball on the tee and hitting it off with the bat! We will have so much fun with it this summer!

Daddy has even gotten off early a few days lately and has been able to play outside with us!

We even had a picnic and playdate at the park this past week. It was so much fun! John Turner ran and climbed on everything!

As you can tell, we are ready for spring and summer to get here! We want to be able to play outside everyday!

Unfortunately, this is what we are doing today!

We are having to view the outside from inside today! It is cold once again! BOO!

Helping Hands

We have quite a little helper around the house these days! John Turner has such a cute personality! He likes to have everything picked up and put in its place! I just don't know where that personality trait came from! LOL!! If we leave something out he gladly puts it away for us. He just may not put it exactly where it is supposed to go! We have found several "missing" items in his dirty clothes basket and in the trash can!!

Here are a few things he enjoys helping me with around the house each week:

  • He enjoys putting his dirty clothes in his laundry basket before bath each night.

  • He enjoys helping me put up the clean laundry each day.

  • He enjoys helping me put up the groceries each week.

  • He even like to put his dirty diapers in the Diaper Genie! LOL!

Let's hope this little helper continues to like to help and to keep things clean and organized around the house! I'll have to post a picture of his room in a few years and we will see how neat and organized it is!!

Happy Birthday, Harper Anne!

The second special birthday that we got to celebrate recently was for John Turner's best friend, Harper! She is so very special to us and we were so excited to be able to celebrate with her and her sweet family! It is hard to believe that this baby girl has already been through two heart surgeries and she is only one! We not only celebrated the fact that Harper turned one, we also celebrated the fact that she is a strong and healthy one year old!

John Turner had a super fun time at Harper's party! He gave Harper her very own chair just like Santa brought him for Christmas. She loved it!
Here are some of his favorite things about her party:

  • He loved running all over the gym and playing chase with Daddy!

  • He loved climbing on the slide and sliding down it!

  • He loved jumping in the bouncy house and playing ball!

  • He loved climbing up and down these stairs!

  • He loved eating his cake and ice cream!

  • He loved riding with some friends in Harper's new wagon!

  • But what he loved most of all was getting to share this special day with Harper!

Happy Birthday, Cousin Logan!

During the past two weeks we have celebrated the first birthdays' of two very important people in our lives. The first one that we celebrated was for our nephew, Logan. It is hard to believe that he is already one year old! Logan(and his mom and dad) had a great time at his first birthday! He loved his cake!!

John Turner had a great time celebrating with his cousin! He is always up for some cake and ice cream! He was given some balloons at the beginning of the party and he didn't let them go the entire two hours we were there! He ran all over that place with those two balloons in his hands! Now if he sees balloons anywhere he points and says balloon and goes crazy if he can't get his hands on it!!

ROLL TIDE ROLL! BEAT THOSE HORNS!

Today is the day Bama fans have been waiting for! We can't wait until kickoff!

Our Aunt Linda and Uncle Russell are huge Texas fans! We still love them despite this fact! Last time they came over to babysit John Turner they brought him his own Texas Longhorn. Needless to say, Carlton has taught him exactly what to do with this Longhorn!

Hopfully after tonight we can say that we are National Champions!! ROLL TIDE!
