10 Months

John Turner is now 10 months old! It is so hard to believe that in just two months we will be celebrating his 1st birthday! He is just really growing up too fast! 10 months is a very fun age. He is full of energy and on the go all of the time! We are enjoying watching him explore and learn new things. Here are a few shots of his favorite things right now.

The first thing John Turner does when he wakes up each morning is go to the window or the back door and call for Oliver, our cat. He will tap on the glass and say "ah, ah" we assume this stands for Oliver. He loves Oliver and Oliver loves him too!

This is his new horse. Of course he is not able to ride it by himself yet, but he just loves to listen to it make noises and sing.

He likes to work on his car! Maybe a future mechanic?

I have been trying to research and find John Turner some new toys that are for children his age. I felt like he had outgrown most of his toys. As you can see in the pictures below, John Turner has found some things around the house that have become his favorite toys lately. He loves Daddy's belt, Momma's shaving cream top, and Momma' pots, pans, and plastic dishes! He plays with this stuff more than any cool, expensive toy we have bought for him!

One more thing that I am so happy about is that we are almost completely off of the bottle! YEAH!! He only has one bottle a day and that is at night before he goes to bed. He has decided that he will drink his milk from his sippy cup at all other times during the day. I am so happy about this because I am so tired of washing bottles! LOL!! He is also eating a lot of table food these days. He loves to eat toast or pancakes for breakfast. He also loves cut up fruit and just about any vegetable I cook. He also loves ravioli and mac n cheese. He thinks that feeding himself is the greatest thing ever. He is very independent and will push you away if you try to help him!

Carousel

Last weekend we attended Landon's 2nd birthday party at the beautiful carousel located here in Meridian. Landon is one of John Turner's cute little cousins! We weren't sure how John Turner would react to riding the carousel. He LOVED it! It went way faster than Carlton or I expected, but John Turner didn't care one bit! He rode it like a big boy!

This is the beautiful carousel and the birthday boy, Landon, taking a ride!

Date Night!

We had a special night out tonight! We got to go out to eat with our friends, the Millers! We have been out with them before but tonight their sweet little girl, Harper, was able to join us! This brave little girl just had her second heart surgery! This last surgery has fixed her heart and she is going to be all well now! PRAISE THE LORD FOR THAT! Harper had to go see her cardiologist yesterday and she got a good report. Up until this point she has not been able to be around a lot of people. She has pretty much been stuck at home! But not anymore! To celebrate this good news John Turner took her out on a date to eat Mexican(HAHA!!) They just make the cutest little couple! We are so thankful that God has healed this sweet baby girl!

All American Boy!

Our "All American Boy" enjoyed his first 4th of July celebration. Mr. Mike and Mrs. June(my best friend Kelly's parents) were sweet and invited us to a 4th of July cookout at their house! We never pass up a chance to eat good food or to spend time with some of our favorite people. Mary Hannah and Audrey, John Turner's friends from church, were also there. He had fun playing with them. He also had fun chasing Mrs. June's dog, Betsy, around the house!

John Turner LOVES Betsy and she LOVES him!

Playing with adorable Audrey!

After enjoying a delicious meal, we all headed to the lake for the fireworks show. We weren't quite sure how John Turner would react to the fireworks or if he would even be able to stay awake late enough to see them(his bedtime is usually around 7:30 and the fireworks didn't start until 9:00)! He stayed awake and enjoyed the fireworks very much!

In his stroller and ready for the long hike up to the lake!

A family picture before the fireworks show

I LOVE the USA!

He was excited when Carly, Gran, Granpa, Uncle Chris, and Aunt HaHa showed up for the fireworks!

He was getting antsy waiting on the fireworks to start!

Below are a few fireworks pictures I captured. They were so stunning! The pictures don't do them justice!

The ducks at the lake didn't care too much for the fireworks!

This was at the end of the night. As you can see the thumb was in the mouth which means he was ready for bed! We must have worn him out because he didn't get up until after 9:00 this morning!
